TELPAS Testing

We will be giving the TELPAS reading and listening/speaking exam beginning on February 23-February 26. This is a state exam that assesses your child’s English language proficiency and better helps us meet your child’s instructional needs. There is no state option for the TELPAS to be given at home. The TELPAS assessment must be given at school, in person only.

Your son/daughter is scheduled to participate in TELPAS Reading and Listening/Speaking. The following list includes the test(s) and date(s) of testing:

  • *Please report to D 101 of the Dr. Alexander Building at 7:30 for all testing days!
  • *Please Bring Charged IPADS
  • February 23 (Tuesday)-10th Graders
  • February 24 (Wednesday)-11th Graders
  • February 25 (Thursday)- 12th Graders
  • February 26 (Friday)- 9th Graders (Make-Up Day for all students who did not test)

TELPAS will be administered online at your child’s campus. Students will be provided technology for testing.

If your child has been attending school virtually and is eligible for transportation from GPISD, we can arrange that for you. Meals will also be available for students.
