Terrence Starling
Principal

Mr. Starling brings 19 years of experience in education, with 17 of those years dedicated to serving the Grand Prairie ISD community. He began his career at Adams Middle School as a teacher and coach, where he spent five years before transitioning into educational leadership. His administrative journey began with an internship at Hope Academy, which led to eight years at South Grand Prairie High School, serving as both assistant principal and dean of students. Most recently, he has served as the principal at Jackson Middle School for the past three years. 

Mr. Starling earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree in educational administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. As the principal of South Grand Prairie High School, he is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, ensuring the success of students, staff, and families. Mr. Starling is honored to lead the South Grand Prairie High School community and looks forward to continuing to inspire academic achievement and personal growth.
