Cheryl Butterfield
Chancellor
Mrs. Butterfield is completing her 25th year in education, with the last 10 years spent in Grand Prairie ISD. Before moving to Texas, she spent 15 years in Missouri teaching Advanced Placement courses and coaching basketball and volleyball. Upon returning to her home state, Cheryl joined Grand Prairie ISD, where she taught AP U.S. History and Psychology at Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy. As an administrator she served five years as Dean of Instruction at GPFAA. Over the last year, she has been an integral part of our South Grand Prairie High School team serving as the Testing Coordinator.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Educational Leadership from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri.
She enjoys traveling, reading, and spoiling her fur babies, as well as her two amazing daughters, Rachel & Micah. Mrs. Butterfield is honored to step into the role of ECHS Chancellor and looks forward to serving the students, staff, and community. She is committed to fostering a culture of excellence.
