About SGP Robotics
SGP Robotics is a nationally competitive robotics program at South Grand Prairie High School focused on excellence in engineering, innovation, and STEM career readiness. Through VEX Robotics competitions and advanced technology experiences, students design, build, program, and compete with high-performance roots against top teams from across Texas and the United States.
Our program pushes students beyond the traditional classroom by immersing them in real-world engineering challenges that develop technical expertise, strategic thinking, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Students gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, coding, automation, CAD design, electronics, and project management while competing in fast-paced, high-level competitions throughout the year.
SGP Robotics is committed to preparing students for future careers in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, robotics, and other high-demand STEM fields. Many of our students pursue college degrees, industry certifications, internships, and leadership opportunities that help launch successful futures in technology-driven careers.
