Chain of Command

 Battalion Commander

C/LTC Jose Hernandez

This position is in charge of the whole battalion. The Battalion Commander is responsible for training, administration, discipline, morale, and performance. He must also maintain a direct personal relationship with the staff and the company commanders, execute all responsibilities in the name of the Senior Army Instructor. Also, be responsible for what the battalion does or fails do to.

 Battalion Executive Officer

C/MAJ Ricky Reyes

The Battalion XO organizes the cadet battalion staff properly and ensure that it works as a team. He also inspects the work of the cadet battalion staff and marks other inspections as directed by the cadet battalion commander. The Battalion XO also performs other duties as assigned by the cadet battalion commander or the instructor staff.

Command Sergeant Major

C/CSM Kristen Carreño

The Battalion CSM is the principal cadet enlisted assistant to the battalion commander. She assists subordinate non-comission officers, the battalion XO, and the adjutant with administrative duties/details. Also, supervises the color guard and all the flag details. She is to ensure that the company first sergeants submit their weekly flag details on time.

S-1 Battalion Adjutant

C/CPT Bryan Parra

The Battalion Adjutant is the administrative assistant to the battalion commander. He prepares and publishes any orders necessary for the operation of the cadet battalion, and also maintains the qualification records and personal files on all cadets. The S-1 performs other duties as assigned by the cadet battalion commander, battalion executive officer, or the instructor staff.

S-2 Public Relations and Affairs

C/CPT Erica Watson

The S-2 is responsible for the information center and the duties of public affairs. She is also the historian, and keeps track of upcoming events and functions within the battalion. Monthly newsletters are published with news, recognitions and Cadet of the Month as well. She coordinates with the S-5 in keeping the bulletin boards updated and is in charge of recruiting students into the program.

S-3 Operations and Training

C/1LT James Hargon

The S-3 is the Battalion Operations and Training Officer. He prepares the weekly training schedules, and inspects cadet training for compliance. He maintains the training portion of cadet records as well. Like the S-1, the S-3 operate JUMS, the software where all of the battalion cadet records are, and in which he updates personal information and awards ready to be placed into orders.

S-4 Logistics

C/1LT Marshall New

The S-4 is the Battalion Logistics Officer. He is responsible for the maintenance security, record keeping, issue, and turn-in of all the U.S. Government property. He creates the JROTC Clothing and Equipment Record for each cadet and ensure that they all have every clothing item needed. He conducts periodic inventories of the on-hand supplies and equipment as well. The S-4 must maintain the supply room in a neat and orderly fashion at all times.

S-5 Special Projects

C/1LT Andrea Duran

The S-5 is the Battalion Special Projects Officer. She is in charge of keeping the battalion updated with any activities such as parades, field trips, and  the military ball. Along with the S-2, she keeps bulletin boards updated and keep each other informed of such events that need to be published in the monthly newsletter and/or the battalion website. She maintains records of pictures of drill meet competitions, school events, and is also the webmaster.
