Senior English : British Literature
Students immerse themselves in the history of Britain and the development of the English language. They learn that British literature was a precursor and inspiration for writers in America. They discover how British history shaped American ideals and policies. They learn how literary movements shaped the writings of the time period and how those movements and authors became the inspiration for American writers and American literature. In addition, they continue to hone their writing skills through extensive product and process writing.
