Geometry

Students will follow the development of a logical mathematical system, based on undefined terms, definitions, postulates, and theorems. Students will explore theory and applications including lines, angles, triangles, polygons, circles, measurement, geometric constructions, properties of the right triangle and trigonometric relationships. Students will develop the use of deductive reasoning in designing formal proofs. Students will cultivate critical thinking skills, problem solving techniques and the latest technology to learn these geometric concepts. Students will engage in analytical thinking and collaborative exercises.
