Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing

This National Automotive Training Education Foundation certified program uses course curriculum that is articulated with Texas State Technical College, Eastfield College, and Universal Technical Institute. College and Professional Credit can be obtained, and Certifications applied for through the I-CAR Education Foundation, and this school is a Training Alliance Site, awarding Platinum Idividual Points that are recognized by industry around the world.

  • Auto Collision Repair I begins with an introduction on different aspects of damage that could be sustained in a collision. A popular portion of the course is the custom paint practical, as well as the suspension modifications module. Students can take part in district, state, and national competitions to compare their skill levels.
  • Auto Collision II makes internships available to senior 2nd year students who meet certain criteria to work for area businesses while still enrolled in high school.
  • Automotive Specialty-Welding courses focus primarily on MIG and Tungsten welding technologies. Classes begin with oxyfuel, then move into wire-feed, then plasma arc methods of welding and cutting both aluminum as well as steel. This is a two-semester class.
