National Art Honor Society
The South Grand Prairie High School National Art Honor Society was founded in 1990 under the direction of Sharon Murphy. Under the sponsorship of Barbara Hagle since 1993, the NAHS has completed many school projects. Designed and created by the NAHS, the Character Counts Six Pillars and school and patriotic spirit murals have enhanced the walls of SGP for many years. Other projects such as community service, elementary school tutoring, and gallery presentations are successfully completed each year. NAHS members earn the right to wear special cords at graduation by participating in these projects and community service. It is our mission to improve school pride and spirit by making South Grand Prairie High School more asthetically pleasing through our artistic talents and projects.
